The questions a small contractor asks before buying, answered the way we would answer them on the phone.
Is this just toolbox talks?
It started there, and the talk is still the center of the week. The same phone now runs the JSA, the inspections, the pre-trip, the equipment record and the miles, and the office prints the prequal packet. Every one of them seals the same way the meeting does.
What does a GC actually ask for?
A written safety program, twelve months of training records, your certifications and your insurance - on a prequalification form or a platform like ISNetworld. The prequal packet prints those as one document, and every record in it carries a code the GC can check.
Does OSHA require weekly toolbox talks?
Not weekly, and not by that name. The construction standard requires that you instruct each employee in recognizing and avoiding unsafe conditions, and weekly talks are how most contractors do that and prove it. Some states go further: California requires a toolbox or tailgate meeting at least every 10 working days - what the California rule actually says.
Does it handle my DOT paperwork?
The safety and paperwork half, on Fleet: every truck, trailer and machine with its pre-trips, open repairs and annual inspection date, both meters signed at each end of the day, and out-of-state days split at the line for the fuel-tax return. Before anyone signs today's pre-trip, the last report on that vehicle comes up with any open defect - the review 49 CFR 396.13 asks for. It is not telematics: no GPS, no hours of service, no engine faults.
Will this satisfy an inspector on its own?
No, and be careful of anyone who says otherwise. It is one piece of a safety program: it does not replace hazard assessments, competent-person duties, equipment-specific training or your written program.
Is a drawn signature legally binding?
Treat it as an attendance record, with the same weight as the paper sign-in sheet it replaces - not an identity-verified electronic signature, and not sold as one. What you get is a sealed record of who signed, when, and on which device, which is what an inspector or a GC asks to see.
Do my crew need accounts?
No, and they never become a seat. They tap a link and sign; on Fleet they also get a page of their own - one QR code in the shop, an Employee ID and a PIN - for today's talk, their miles and the safety manual. The seats you pay for are the people who run meetings and read records.
Can you record where someone signed?
Yes, and it is off unless you switch it on. The signing page says so, the phone asks permission, and anyone who declines can still sign.
Can I get a refund?
No - the trial is how you decide. Every tier starts with one, 14 days monthly or 30 days on a yearly plan, and nothing is charged until it ends. After that, payments are not refunded; cancelling stops the next one and you keep the service to the end of what you have paid for.
What happens to my records if I cancel?
They stay readable during the export window, so stopping billing does not lock you out of your own history. Read it, copy it, or email any record to yourself while you are there - it is yours.
Start this week's meeting in about two minutes.
